Liverpool's recent run of success has been recognised after Brendan Rodgers was named Premier League Manager of the Month for March.
As the Liverpool Echo confirms, Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez complete the Merseysiders' clean sweep, sharing the Player of the Month award.
It's a material achievement for the club currently enjoying a 14-match unbeaten streak in the English top flight, but Rodgers will have his eyes on a bigger prize.
This Sunday will see the Reds go toe-to-toe with fellow title contenders Manchester City at Anfield in a fixture that is extremely likely to decide who wins this season's title.Gerrard and Suarez have been key figures in propelling their side to the top of the Premier League standings and wins over Southampton, Manchester United, Cardiff City, Sunderland and Tottenham are representative of the fine work Rodgers is doing.
According to the Liverpool Echo's James Pearce, this is only the sixth time in Premier League history that the award has been shared by two players, the last occasion coming in November 2007.
Liverpool know that this season's title is theirs as long as they can win all of their remaining five matches. Despite doubts concerning his age, Gerrard has been at his best, netting four goals in March, two of which came in the memorable 3-0 win at Old Trafford.
This is the second time this season that Rodgers has won this award, having been named the Manager of the Month in August, too.
So impressive has the tactician been that, as Squawka shows, even one-time rivals Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville were able to agree that he deserves Manager of the Season recognition instead of just a monthly accolade.Suarez also picks up the Player of the Month award for a second time this campaign, having scored six goals in March, half of which came as part of the 6-3 victory over Cardiff.
The Liverpool trio will undoubtedly be pleased that their hard work isn't going unnoticed, but there's only one prize that any of those at the club should have their eyes on at this stage.
With less than a month until their Premier League season comes to an end, any signs of complacency would risk derailing Liverpool's hopes for a maiden Premier League trophy, and it's vital that concentration be at an all-time high.
