Low: Germany will dominate football as Spain did

Joachim Low is confident that his Germany side can build on their World Cup triumph by going on to dominate the international scene.

Low, who took over the team in 2006, guided Die Mannschaft to their fourth World Cup title as Mario Gotze scored an extra-time winner against Argentina in the final on Sunday.
Gotze, 22, was one of many German players to be making their World Cup debut and the coach believes that the strong talent coming through the ranks will stand his team in good stead to build a dynasty.

"This title will give us a boost once again," Low told Sky Sports. "This team has good prospects. We have a great future with many young players who have been greatly educated [in football].

"The players always show no fear and are never afraid and clearly the aim is now [to succeed in] Euro 2016 in France.

"I can imagine that we are soon going to be experiencing a German era in world football, as it previously was Spanish. All I can say is that we will not sit back now and say 'that's it'.

"I'm still enjoying my job, it's still fun," added Low, who plans to see out his contract, which expires in 2016.
